The European Institute of Printed Circuits will be holding their Winter Conference in Munich next year. The always highly popular event will take place at the NH München Airport Hotel in Schwaig/Oberding which is just down the road from the airport. It will run over three days – Wednesday 4th February to Friday 6th February 2015.
On Wednesday 4th February there will be an EIPC-EFRA-CEFIC Workshop, run in conjunction with ICL and the European Flame Retardants Agency. Subjects covered in the seminar, which will run from 10.00am to 4.00pm, will include RoHS EFRA, WEEE and End of Life, an update on REACH and the TBBA status – EFRA.
On Thursday 5th February the conference will consist of morning sessions devoted to a review of the markets, with the unique guidance of Walt Custer, followed by a full session on reliability in PCB fabrication and assembly.
After lunch the delegates will depart by coach for a visit to the premises of Airbus Defence and Space, Europe’s No. 1 Defence and Space Company. Sights will include some of the products including the swing-role combat aircraft Eurofighter Typhoon, the multi-role military airlifter A400M and the multi-role transport and tanker aircraft A330 MRTT.
On Friday 6th February a full day will include sessions covering advanced materials solutions to copper cleaning and activation, IMS and laminate performance, advanced imaging techniques, UL requirements, and SMART manufacturing incorporating RFID.
The wealth of topics will be presented by many international and well-known speakers from the circuit board industry, and as usual the EIPC conference provides a friendly forum for catching up both socially and informatively.
